AI Sub Editor is an AI-assisted desktop application designed for journalists, editors,
publishers, and content teams. It helps users collect supported news content from copied
links, process copied images, prepare output for publication, and submit content to a
user-configured Siteadmin endpoint.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you enter
- Domain name
- Mobile number
- Email address
This information is stored locally in the application configuration file and may be sent
to Dotsilicon for subscription, activation, logging, support, and service management.
2.2 Device and software information
For operational logging, troubleshooting, and service verification, the application may transmit:
- Device type
- Device name
- Device model
- CPU name
- Installed RAM
- Operating system name
- Operating system version
- Windows edition
- Windows display version
- OS build number
- Architecture, machine, and processor information
- Application name, version, and build version
- Date and time of submission
2.3 Network and server-side log data
When the application communicates with Dotsilicon services, server-side logs may record:
- IP address
- User agent
- Approximate ISP name
- Approximate city
- Approximate country
2.4 Local application data
The application may store certain data locally on the user’s device, including:
- Configuration data in
AppData\Roaming\AI Sub Editor\domain.json
- Status flags used to retry service logging when network access is unavailable
- Processed images saved by the user to date-based folders on the Desktop
2.5 Content processed by the application
AI Sub Editor processes copied links, headlines, article text, and copied images in order
to provide its features. Depending on how you use the application, this content may be:
- Processed locally on your device
- Fetched from supported news websites over the internet
- Submitted to your configured Siteadmin endpoint
- Used to open search queries in external web services such as image search

We use information collected through AI Sub Editor for the following purposes:
- To validate and manage subscriptions
- To log subscriber and device information for account administration

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of copied links, extracted content, images,
and publishing workflows complies with applicable laws, copyright requirements, and your
organization’s editorial policies.
7. Data Retention
- Local configuration data remains on your device until you edit or remove it.
- Operational logs may be retained by Dotsilicon for as long as reasonably necessary for subscription management, support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Published or submitted content retention depends on the systems you choose to send data to, including your own Siteadmin environment.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect data used by the application.
Subscription validation and service communication are intended to use secure HTTPS connections
where supported. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
AI Sub Editor is intended for professional, editorial, research, and publishing use. It is
not designed for children.
10. International Use
Dotsilicon may operate, administer, or support this software across more than one jurisdiction.
By using the software, you understand that your information may be processed in Bangladesh,
Australia, or other locations involved in service delivery and support.
